Invitation to KOBA Day on the 13 of March 2010 at Kutama College
We hereby invite all KOBA members to KOBA Day to join us in supporting Kutama College on the 13th of March 2010. KOBA is an association of former Kutama students who network to support the schools’ various projects. Our target for the day is to raise US$100 000 by auctioning various items. On the day we are having a luncheon and ordinary tables for ten are on offer for US$100 and executive tables for US$500 for ten. We are also offering exhibition rooms for organisations such classrooms to showcase your products and services for US$200 per classroom. Our guest of honour for the day for the day is KOBA member and patron His Excellency RG Mugabe who will deliver a key note address. Minutes from previous meeting Venue: Royal Harare Golf Club Date: December 14 2009 The headmaster brother Chirombe presented a report to KOBA members at Royal Harare Golf Club The school this year managed to 1) install internet VSAT satellite link 2) install two generators ta the school 3) start a broiler rearing project project 4) initiate a cattle project now has a herd of 25 5) 20 computers were reconditioned thanks to KOBA notebly Mr Chirenda and 20 computers purchased. 6) set up a culture centre (build a fully equiped traditonal hut and accesories) 7) started school furnture rehabilitation (most furniture now old and broken) 8) KOBA is supporting with 13th cheque to staff (teachers' retention incentives) 9) staff flats (houses) need financial/material support to reach completion The hostel project was on short of US$260 000 to complete plus 50 000 bricks and cement, since the KOBA meeting KOBA members and donors have raised over US$100 000 KOBA members have donated 40 000 bricks but still need 10 000 bricks. The KOBA meeting resolved The next KOBA meeting is at Royal Harare Golf Club at 1730 hrs on Januray 21 2009 We are setting a date for KOBA day in February Mr Mapuranga will chair the new executive and assited with Mr Nhau as an advisor to the executive. KOBA branches by regions such as Harare, Bulawayo, South Africa, UK, USA, Australia need to be officially recognised and managed We need to have an online database of KOBA members We need to activate KOBA accounts at CBZ and Primier bank to be co signed by Mr Nhau and Mr Mapuranga. |
